Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) (IATA: BOM, ICAO: VABB), formerly Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport in Mumbai, India, and is named after the 17th century Maratha Emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji Bhosle. The Airport's IATA code – "BOM", is derived from Bombay, Mumbai's former name.

The airport is the second busiest airport in India in terms of overall passenger traffic. The airport has five operating terminals spread over an operational area of 1,500 acres (610 ha); CSIA handled 30.74 million passengers and 656,369 tonnes of cargo during FY 2011-12.

Along with Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, it handles more than half of the air traffic in South Asia. In 2010, CSIA airport was ranked the 30th busiest airport in the world in terms of cargo with 671,238 tonnes handled. In 2011, the airport was ranked the third-best in the world in the 25–40 million passengers category by Airports Council International.

Also in 2011, the airport was the 44th busiest in the world with 30,439,122 passengers handled, registering a 7.6% growth rate over the previous year.

The airport is one amongst a few airports in the world to be located within the city's municipal limits. It is situated in the suburb of Santa Cruz and the Sahar neighbourhood of Andheri suburb in the pincode area of 400099.
Mumbai International Airport Limited, a consortium of GVK Industries Ltd, Airports Company South Africa and Bidvest, was appointed to carry out the modernisation of Mumbai Airport in February 2006.

This project was to be completed by end of 2013, but this has been delayed by another year to the end of 2014. Once completed, CSIA will be capable of handling 40 million passengers and 1 million metric tonnes of cargo annually.

The construction of a dedicated six lane, elevated road connecting the new terminal with the main arterial Western Express Highway is underway.

A very nice Mumbai Scenery! Although it's for FSX I recommend buying this for v4 over the Stinn Pacific Scenery as this is extremely better! The scenery looks very very nice and although old this scenery operates very well. If you have ORBX Vector to fix elevation change ABP_VABB.bgl to ABP_VABB.bgl.OFF. Very very nice 100% better than Stinn Pacific VABB!

I say its the BEST Vabb Scenery. Everything here is perfect. I Personally like the 2013 VABB when the T2 was still under construction sooo.. this is perfect for me

I Bought this scenery yesterday and i must say im not having the problems with this scenery that other customers were having re-the-runway problems this scenery is just great well done to thai creation on a great scenery pleasure to fly into. ;)

Eigentlich ja ganz ordentlich. Wären da nicht am Anfang die Probleme mit dem Einsinken in der Runway. Na gut das hab ich noch hinbekommen. Die Gebäude der Stadt sehe ich allerings auch nicht. Meiner Meinung nach kann sowas bei Payware einfach nicht sein. Wer Spaß dran hat nach der Installation noch Hand anzulegen ist hier genau richtig. Wären die Probleme nicht, würde ich 4Sterne geben.

Mal wieder ein Meisterwerk von Thai Creation. Ich habe mir damals Kathmandu gekauft und war erfreut, aber Mumbai war jeden Cent wert. Lasst euch nicht von den Screenshots täuschen, die Texturen sind scharf und der Platz ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail erstellt worden. Ich freue mich schon auf Langstreckenflüge zwischen Mumbai und Dubai. ABSOLUTE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!!

Hi, I just purchased this airport, especially for it's convenient price and under the good opinion about Thai's Kathmandu. Actually, I was very frightened after reading here some terrible review. The airport is very well done, but I encountered the runway sinking problems such as other guys. I followed two advices I found in the reviews, but at no avail. Considering that any of us has different pc configurations and, most of all, different add-ons, in desperation I went to the SCENERY-WORLD-SCENERY folder and deleted the two VABB...ALT.BGL & VAJJ...ALT.bgl files. All fixed, and the airport reappeared in its beauty. Delting too the awful VAJJ airport with its orrible VFR. Just for the record, my pc configuration: Prepar3D 2.5, all the three FS Global Ultimates,FTX Global+Vector. Hoping having been of some help to other simmers. Fulvio Arman

Eine gute Szenerie, die im Simulator wesentlich besser aussieht, als auf den Screenshots auf der Produktseite. Aufgrund der Screenshots, auf denen vieles doch sehr unscharf aussah war ich anfangs sehr zurückhaltend und habe mir diese Szenerie erstmal nicht gekauft. Gestern habe ich mich dann doch zum Kauf entschlossen und ich bin positiv überrascht. Die Texturen sind ordentlich gemacht und sehen sowohl bei Tag, als auch bei Nacht, gut aus. Ich schreibe mit Absicht "nur" gut und nicht sehr gut, denn die Nachttexturen könnten doch noch ein wenig besser sein, was aber nicht heißt, dass ich sie als schlecht einstufen würde. Mitte 2013, als dieses Addon veröffentlicht wurde, gab es auf dem Mark allerdings durchaus schon bessere Nachtbeleuchtungen. Ein kleiner Markel ist ein Elevationproblem, welches allerdings durch das tauschen der beiden Einträge in der Szeneriebibliothek (und in meinem Fall noch durch das deaktivieren des Elevation Correction "Fix" im FTX Vector Configurator) innerhalb von einer Minute gelöst werden kann. Hier könnte man mit einem kleinen Installerupdate bestimmt noch Abhilfe schaffen, auch wenn es sicherlich kein großes Problem ist, wenn man weiß, wie man es beheben kann. Alles in allem gebe ich 4 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden, der noch eine Destination zwischen dem nahen Osten und Asien sucht.

Excellent visual scenery but problems with runways, lights and marking altitudes in FSX. The fix for this however is very simple. To make the scenery work properly ... if having this issue you're probably using something like FTX Global or Ultimate Terrain ... I am: 1. Make a copy of the APX67250.bgl file in your FSX\Scenery\0803\scenery folder. 2. Create a new folder in your Mumbai scenery directory. Call it anything you are happy with (eg VABB Terrain Fix). 3. In the new folder create a sub folder called scenery. 4. Place the copy of APX67250.bgl in the newly created scenery folder. 5. Add the "VABB Terrain Fix", or whatever you called it, to you FSX scenery.cfg (either from within FSX through the scenery library or manually yourself). It needs to be placed lower than your VABB and VAJJ scenery entries but above your terrain addon scenery entry. I placed mine immediately below the VABB entry. That's it! Everything should now work fine.

Good looking scenery but catastrophic customer service. There is a major taxiway elevation problem with the FSX version that has been pointed out by customers for months without any acknowledgement whatsoever from the people at Thai Creations, and no fix either of course. An absolute shame. No matter how good a scenery looks, if customers cannot get any help on a clearly identified design flaw then the product shouldn't qualify to be sold through a quality professional website such as Simmarket. Just to clarify, I would like to rate this product "zero stars" which it deserves because of the developer's attitude, but the system won't let me.

This is a 5-star product if the developer fixes the elevation error so many users are having. The developer is also indifferent to customer complaints regarding this problem. I've posted on their Facebook page a couple of times, but I'm being ignored https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10202932399894033&set=o.178774135505724&type=1&ref=nf This is a promising package, but I find it odd that they can't push an altitude adjustment to update the scenery and correct the error. The error causes the runway and taxi lines to float, and creates a sensation that the airport is below ground level. If Thai Creation wants to gain credibility, it has to behave like the major developers, especially when it comes to customer service.
